Mike Reelfs

Owner and master technician, Mike has been fixing things since he was a kid. One of his first jobs as a mechanic was for Vintage Racing, a specialty auto repair shop where he worked on Ferraris, Lotuses and Lamborghinis. Mike worked at several auto shops in the area before coming to Helming's Auto Repair in 1990. When Bob Helming announced his retirement in 2001, he offered Mike and his wife, Leane, the opportunity to purchase the business. Their commitment to continue to operate the business with excellence, honesty and integrity is one of the reasons they are so highly rated by many websites, including Consumer Reports and Click and Clack the Car Guys.

Mike is an ASE Certified Master Technician and has his smog check license. Some of Mike's most recent technical training includes Enhanced OBD II, Hybrid Generic Service, Honda/Acura Engine Performance, Enhanced Scan Data Analysis, and Emissions Theory & Diagnosis. When Mike isn't at the repair shop, he enjoys home improvement projects, wakeboarding, waterskiing, and serves as President of Mountain View Little League. Mike and his family live in the Monta Loma neighborhood in Mountain View, CA.

Don D'Elia

Don, our head mechanic, came to us with an extensive auto repair background. With over 30 years of experience, Don has worked exclusively at local auto repair shops. Some of his most recent technical training includes Hybrid Generic Service, Honda/Acura Engine Performance, Emissions Theory and Diagnosis, and Enhanced Scan Data Analysis. Don lives in Mountain View, is married, and has three grown children.

Sean Hellerich

Sean is one of the finest young auto repair mechanics we've seen in a long time. He is an ASE certified technician and has his smog check license. Some of Sean's most recent technical training includes Enhanced OBD II, Hybrid Generic Service, Honda/Acura Engine Performance, and Enhanced Scan Data Analysis. Whether in the mud or on the track, Sean is passionate about his cars. You may find him off-roading in Hollister or racing his Mustangs at tracks all over Northern California.

Leane Reelfs

A community connector extraordinaire, Leane's favorite days at the shop are when she is visiting with customers at the front desk or giving them rides home. It's not all fluff, however, as she also takes care of the advertising, marketing, and accounting for the business. Leane serves on the advisory council for Leadership Mountain View, on the board of Mountain View Little League, and is committed to giving back to the community. In her free time, Leane enjoys gardening, waterskiing, spending time with good friends, and watching her boys play baseball.
